1. Only one book is in active circulation, with its progress still being tracked by this blog.
2. Three other books are accounted for, but not moving.
3. Six books have been officially deemed lost (thanks, post office!).
4. 16 people have responded that they have finished their pages and the book has left their hands, 25 people have not responded, many more have let me know they've not seen their respective books, and I haven't gotten to the rest of you yet (sorry). If you have signed up and are past the halfway point on your respective list (numbers 6-12), I will not contact you regarding the whereabouts of the book, as I assume none of the books have gotten that far.
So far, so funky. I am not surprised by any of this, knowing how these travelling journals work, but I'm sure some of you aren't too happy by the progress. Personally, I'm surprised that I know where ten of the books are (or aren't)--that's 50% accounted for, which is a much better percentage than with most of these journal projects.
I had originally planned on replacing the books if they got lost, but I've discovered that Moleskine no longer makes the journals I originally used. I am currently looking into an alternative, but the thought of replacing books indefinitely is something I'm not looking forward to. However, I have an idea for which I'd like some feedback, but it's half-cooked (ha, sorry). I am still working on it; I'll let you know shortly.
